Where to begin? Let’s start with simply walking into the restaurant. It has a super cozy laid back atmosphere with beautiful artwork on the walls & ceiling. We were seated promptly & the staff was super attentive. Kassumy did a stellar job. Giovanni was great & knew the wine selections like the back of his hand. The food was delicious from the appetizers we had calamari, the Napolitana, the clams, etc. My main course was the lobster ravioli & at first I didn’t think it was going to fill me up but I was pleasantly surprised. All in all, I give this place a 10 out of 10 & would definitely come again. Compliments to the chef!
Piatti has the most charming and romantic atmosphere, and they begin your meal with fresh warm bread served with a house made garlic butter. I had the mushroom ravioli and it is the best I've ever had! It literally melted in my mouth! Then to finish the molten lava cake is a luxurious and velvety mouthful of delight. I can't wait to come back and try everything, it is not to be missed when you're in Hilton Head Island!!
Went on a whim with the pickiest child who requires the simplest meal. This Italian food was next level. I myself wasn’t particularly hungry and had a tough time deciding. I ended up getting the four-cheese ravioli because why not. I wasn’t expecting much, but was more than satisfied. I could tell immediately by looking at the food that the pasta was made fresh. It was absolutely delicious. It was scrape-the-bowl-clean with the fresh bread good, which I did! But what really got me is the dessert menu. I have a sweet tooth and Piatti had one of the best dessert menus I’ve ever seen. I couldn’t decide! We ended up getting 3 so that we could take one home! Really amazing food, atmosphere and service, and I can’t wait to return much more famished than this last time!
Our friend, Jaimes, recommended Piatti to us. We’ve been to the island for years, but never visited or even heard of the restaurant. We are so thankful that we gave it a try! The food was authentic and the entire experience felt very “European”. We had the calamari and bread for an appetizer— both delicious! I had the butternut squash tortellini and my husband had the scampi aglio. Both were amazing! We finished with the dessert platter (molten lava cake, bananas foster cheesecake, & tiramisu). Our waitress, Karina, was exceptional! She provided amazing service and was so friendly and personable! We had a fantastic experience and can’t wait to come back! Definitely a must try if visiting HHI!
I selected this restaurant for dinner with my wife based upon the reviews. We were not disappointed. The portions, food quality and service were all 5 stars. They serve complimentary warm bread to start off the meal. We then shared the antipasto mixto for 2. It was very tasty. My wife then had the Polpette di Carne. I had the Fettuccine Salsiccia e Pollo. Both were wonderful. While we were too full to order dessert we did see it being delivered to other tables. They looked great!!
Immediately upon entering we were welcomed in and brought to our table. Service was top notch, we sat with Karina. She was very friendly and helpful with ordering. Every item we ordered was top notch. Everything tasted homemade which is rare nowadays. Highly recommend you won’t be disappointed.
What a lovely surprise. First, the welcoming atmosphere feels like a hidden spot in Little Italy. The service was superb, and we were even privileged to have a visit from the chef. Now, for the food...it is beyond compare. The menu is a combination of traditional Italian food and innovative dishes with a twist. There is a variety of pasta dishes, along with meats and seafood. The bread is amazing... crispy crust and an airy middle, ideal for dipping in olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Whether you are a local or a visitor, do not miss Piatti.
as an italian fine dining employee this is fantastic! service and food was great. we started off with fresh bread and garlic butter and they kept offering more bread so we loved that! we also got the calamari and the lava cake and i will post pics of the entrees!
